05.05.-11.05.2025 - UNFORGETTABLE ERASMUS+ WEEK WITH OUR ITALIAN GUESTS
25.05.2025MONDAY - Let’s go the the airport!
We met at 8.30 am and finished our posters about Wuppertal and the region. The bus came at 11 am and took us to the airport where we welcomed our Italian guests with posters of their names. Back at the school we gave our presentations about Wuppertal. Before we ate snacks from the buffet, Frau Flowerday dropped by to welcome our guests from Sassuolo. At 3 pm our parents came to pick us up and take us home.
TUESDAY - Time to be creative together
We met Ute the artist at 8.30 and she showed us how to make a mosaic tile using small pieces of glass and ceramic. The theme of the mosaic tiles was EU values like equality and human rights. It was a very creative and productive day. The finished tiles looked great. Everyone was very tired but happy with the results. Before we left for home we had free time to play on the sports field. That evening we returned to the modules for our movie night.
WEDNESDAY - Amazing architecture in Düsseldorf
We all met at 9 am at the piano in the main train station. We then took the train to Düsseldorf and the bus to the Medienhafen. We did a walking tour of the incredible architecture in the harbour area and took lots of selfies as part of our project. At the end of the tour we went up the Rheinturm which gave us a fantastic view of the city. We had the afternoon free for shopping.
THURSDAY - Workshop day
Today we had three workshops. Firstly we started with a sports workshop where we played ball games. In the second workshop we had to take a photo of part of our face which we do not like …. this was not so easy! In the third workshop we learnt a dance choreography for the party on Friday evening.
FRIDAY - A trip to the zoo
We met at 9 am at the zoo. In two teams we enjoyed a guided tour of the zoo. After that we had free time to eat and explore the zoo by ourselves. We took the suspension railway and bus back to Ronsdorf. Here we had our final reflection workshop. In the evening we had our party with our parents. We received certificates, presented our dance and listened to two of our guests play the piano. After that it was party time with a great buffet and lots of dancing!
SATURDAY - A day out with the family
All of us did something different with our matches and our families. Some of us visited Phantasialand and others spent the day in Cologne or visiting places near Wuppertal.
SUNDAY - Time to say goodbye
We met at 12 pm at the airport and said goodbye to our matches. It was sad to see them return to Italy after a great week - of course most of us cried. Some of us are already planning to visit our matches in Italy in the summer!
